Thomas Dolan is a Ph.D. Candidate in American Studies at George Washington University, focusing on Middle Eastern diaspora and race.

Where are you from?
I was born in Bermuda and grew up in South Florida. 

What did you study in undergrad and where?
I majored in History and International Studies at Yale University. I received my master's degree in American Studies from New York University. 

What are you studying/researching now?
I am pursuing a PhD in American Studies, concentrating on Middle Eastern diaspora and race. 

Why did you decide to come to George Washington University?
Because it fits my fields of interest, and I had some strong persuasion from Prof. Melani McAlister. 

What is your favorite part of living in D.C. so far?
Exploring the restaurant scene and not having to fight through tourists in Times Square. 

Do you have any hobbies or special interests? 
I like swimming and exercising in general. I also love music. I was actually in an a capella group in college.

What are your future career goals?
To change the world, starting by fixing America.
