Minor in American Studies

For students interested in combining American Studies with another field, the minor offers a highly customizable curriculum. Students in the minor explore the department’s trademark strengths in cultural history and cultural studies as well as elective courses in their areas of interest.

Coursework includes two core history classes and 12 credits of electives. Potential class topics include feminist theory, immigration, capitalism, African American women’s history, artificial intelligence and architecture.

  


Course Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled: 18 credits, including 6 credits in required courses and 12 credits in elective courses.
